Lion King: Full Length of Play
Description of play: This play is based off the movie The Lion King. It’s about how the lions out rule the other animals living in Pride Lands. Mufasa, the king of the lions had a son named Simba. Simba is to be the next king once his father passes away, but Scar (Mufasa’s brother) has other plans. It’s a battle for the throne and Scar will not stop at nothing to be King.
Scene One




The set for scene one is consisted of a large rock boulder, a baboon, a baby lion cub (Simba), and jungle animals. This is the scene where Simba is introduced to the Pride Lands by the baboon Rafiki. Rafiki stands up on the top of the boulder lifting Simba, so that the Pride Land animals can all get a glimpse of the newborn King.
